Guppy was picked up by animal control and no one ever reclaimed her. She looked like she recently had puppies but none where found nearby. Guppy may have been digging through trash while she was out roaming, for when she came to the shelter, she smelled like fish so that's how she got her name! Rosanne is 2-3 years old and 48 pounds. When Rosanne first arrived, she had an odd walk/waddle so we took her to the vet for an evaluation & Xrays. The vet's finding was that Rosanne has significant arthritis on her back especially at the L5L6 area and that this was probably due to an injury or trauma in her past. There is no surgery to do for this and his recommendation was to keep her lean and strong with moderate exercise and to give her fish oil and Cosequin (glucosamine/chondrotin). Taz and his sister Mocha were surrendered to us after their owners fell on hard times. They have lived their entire lives together and can only be adopted together.
